Summer 2010
Summer is moving at a fast pace! The NAS Summer Field School, hosted by the GTBUP in Traverse City, is over and was a success. The school appealed to scuba divers and non-divers alike and everyone had a great time.
Survey work continues on the 100' barge we recently discovered near Elk Rapids. Sector scans were completed during the Field School and we're planning a "Media Day" at the site for everyone to see the GTBUP in action.
I am thrilled to announce that Antiquity Journal recently awarded me their annual photography prize of 500£ for a photo of Dr. Mark Holley surveying at Haserot Beach. Antiquity is the world's premier archaeology publication and I'm quite honored.
If you are in Chicago, check out the "Mastodons and Mammoths" exhibit at The Field Museum. I have two photos of the mastodon petroglyph on display.
